How do you politely tell strangers that no, you cannot hold my baby? Um, awkward...

And just for fun, we went blueberry picking! I think Theo likes it. He'll probably like it better when he can actually eat the blueberries, though!

People are so strange and presumptuous...

Yeah, I find it weird how the world thinks they own babies. But I'm not very friendly. At which farm did you go berry picking? We went raspberry picking last weekend w/ Keira and Lydon in NH. Even though the pickings were SLIM, they were really good at it (spotting and pulling gently) and had so much fun. So when Theo is 4 years old it'll be prime time. We can pick 20 lbs of every kind of berry that summer.

yeah. that is odd. I don't think that i've ever asked some random person to hold their child. that is just weird.

He looks so peacefull...

We went to the Pioneer Valley Organic Farm in Chester. The one that's only open on Saturdays. We picked "only" six pounds. And Theo was all wrapped up on C. yummy berries. yummy Theo.

He is yummy, indeed.

And yeah, I don't get why people think of babies as public property. I know lots of people who don't act that way. Why is it that some people do?

Um, I know this is awkward - but can I hold your baby? He IS irresistable!

Beautiful pic!

Why do strangers think they can touch people they don't know period? I hate it when a stranger grabs my elbow or puts a hand between my shoulder blades to steer past me in a store instead of just saying "pardon me." The first stranger I know who pats my belly is going to lose a hand. Same for touching our baby.

Just don't give your child two pints of blueberries at one sitting..."but she really seemed to like them!" (says the grandmother).
