I'm no anchorwoman..

I'm starting to show. I guess it's time to break the news to work. I already told my department head and principal, and both seemed genuinely thrilled for us, but I haven't told any co-workers besides my pregnant buddy, but I really think that it's time. I mean--I have no pants left to wear, people. Time to go shopping.

I really don't like telling people "news". I know, I'm weird. What's the most tactful, least-embarrassing way to break the news?

i usually break the ice by saying, "does this baby make me look fat?"

Haha, chicken wins!

Seriously, no advice here, since I told my boss over the phone, calling in sick to work because I was puking my guts out and headed to the ER 12 weeks pregnant.

Good luck!

well, you could be like my principal who announced during the staff meeting in response to the parent involvement team that he was "not a parent yet, but will be on november 14th". he kept it moving like non other...

we caught that, we caught that!

Oh, gosh, I have no advice either, just commiseration. I HATED telling people. There were people who didn't know I had been pregnant 'til I showed up with a baby. If you're showing, maybe people will ask you about it? I always hoped for that but never showed enough.

"We're having a baby" was easier than using the word "pregnant" for me. When I had the balls to say it which was not very often.

Oh, I totally feel THE SAME WAY, Lo!!! I know, I'm such a weirdo. I've been dropping hints like--"Oh, for the next baby," or, "with the next baby we'll do this..." but no one's taken the bait. Guess I'd better just suck it up.

Chicken, I do like yours, since it's pretty obvious I'm growing at a now exponential rate!

I just didn't tell. I mean, I told a few people at work and let everyone else figure it out. I felt so uncomfortable and weird about a big announcement.
