Not just unlucky

There's a title I think I need to start trying on....infertile. 3IVI's and 6IUI's (4 with Clomid) and still no pregnancy. That's something to consider.

The I word is hard to look at isn't it. I'm hoping its just a case of not great timing and not some real issues.

((((hugs)))

I'm really sorry, too. :(

What testing have you guys done to start trying to figure out what might be making it so hard?

Infertile doesn't necessarily mean it's not going to happen, but it sure does eat away at your hope and self-esteem.

The "silver lining" I found with the "I" diagnosis is that it's much easier to justify a medical deduction on your taxes. And yes, I included the expense of sperm. Other couples have counted egg donation, and the IRS has issued statements saying OK. Why is this different?

Oh man...I totally lost track of time...I'm so sorry! *hugs*

You should come meet up with us in NYC during the weekend of March 16. We'll smoke some cigs and drink some booze and feel a little better!

I'm sorry sounds so small at times like these but I don't know what else to say. Sorry :(

yup I've been trying that title on for size too, and while I am just going through the testing now, I feel like an impostor...but with six cycles behind me, I do fear the worst.

It is indeed a title no one wants.

I too hope that there is another explanation for you. But even if the title fits, medical science can do some pretty incredible things nowadays. So, either way, there's hope.

Hugs. That's definitely a hard title to consider.

That sucks. But dont totally lose hope yet- Clomid isnt the be-all end-all- it could be that you just need something more advanced to spark your fertility. Easy for me to say as an observer, but I think it is true. And this day and age there's still lots of things that "they" can do to help you! In any case, best of luck for good timing and good results!

It just kind of seeped into our vocab...not it seems to dominate it. Hopefully you will only have to use it for one cycle.

This is not a bad track record. You have way more tries to go. Keep going!

Hey- I don't know you at all, so my telling you I'm sorry is meaningless. But, maybe sharing my experience will help? My partner and I tried for 24 cycles before we finally made our beautiful son. We used every infertility measure short of IVF, drugs, IUI's, shots... and we were well past ready to give up when it finally happened. We spent a fortune... but we made our cute baby nonetheless. Idiopathic infertility is what they called it... sounds like something a man made up.
Good luck.
