Can I buy you a drink?
I got a peak reading and all my signs are lined up - if I had sex TODAY I would get pregnant. I am going on a mad hunt for sperm.

did you know there's a website DP and I found when we were researchng cryobanks, of men who will donate their sperm for free-some come with caveats (sp) they want to donate "naturally" or they want to donate because they have two moms and know how hard it was for them . . .i wasn't so sure how I felt about all that. specially since my job in this process is to secure the goods . . .that's a lot of pressure.
i have to tell you, i once went on a mad hunt for donors online, with like one week until ovulation. i wound up with an inbox full of grotesque penis pictures and offers to do it the "natural way". Lovely. Of course we laugh about it now, but it was kinda scary at the time! i'll have to do some backreading because this is my first visit to your blog, so i'm not sure what you have already lined up... Good luck!
We "wasted" my last cycle this way, too. I ovulated late-- probably stress. We ended up inseminating probably 6 days too early, and we did it TWICE!-- So we spent around $700 in sperm (for IUI) and $500 in inseminations b/c we weren't doing the u/s and trigger shots. This cycle, I said f'it-- we're tech'ing up. Cost a lot less, since insurance pays for the u/s and shot, and we only did one insem.
Can you afford to do one unit of IUI from a local bank? Do you have a local bank so that you wouldn't have to pay for shipping? We're able to hold our costs down to $580/month that way.
no local bank--it's all about shipping out here in western mass, unfortunately. we haven't gotten to see the r.e. yet because it usually takes forever to get an appt., and since we just moved out here, it's just not our turn yet =(
